Yay ~ back to school!

After a 4 day weekend (thursday & friday were snow days) Jesse was more than ready to go back to school. He had a great time, got to bombard gramma with snowballs, make snowmen, go sledding with Cody, and just chill at home. This morning he told me that he actually missed school and it was time to go back - sounds good to me!

Ahhhh stress! Yesterday was an adventure - on the way to Jesse's speech therapy the car started making a strange sound.. and then a loud grinding noise and lots of smoke or steam. I'm freaking which causes Jesse to freak, which actually calms me down because someone has to remain calm. Luckily Walt was with us, nothing fazes him..  We get to the parking lot and woosh!!! water and steam everywhere! Jesse runs into the building afraid of the car now. Thank goodness for AAA, and friends who are mechanics, and brothers-in-law who come to the rescue when we needed a ride home. Jesse got to ride in the tow truck (another adventure!) and luckily it was only the water pump (relativly inexpensive) I should be thankful that it happened where it did, that I wasn't alone, that Rick was available to work on it, that Chuck was able to give us a ride back home, and that I renewed my AAA membership! Now just to figure out how to pay for it...  And how to get rid of this stress headache that is driving me crazy & making me cranky.. (Walt & Jesse's words)

Yeah! Jesse got to go hiking on Mingus Mountain with Cody (& Nikki)  this morning. Jesse loves his uncle Cody so much and really looks forward to the time he gets to spend with him. Thanks Cody, for being there for Jesse when he needs a "big brother" kind of friend. You are an awesome influence for this little guy! Just wish I had some pictures to post also.
