My photo
This is more of a photo scrapbook and a place to write (and vent) my thoughts and feelings and brag about my grandkids.. I am a 60 something wife, mom & grandma. I've been married to my best friend Walt since 1977. The most important thing in my life is family. We have been blessed with some great kids, our daughter Kayci, son Cody, our awesome grandson Jesse, our precious granddaughters Cassandra and Chelsea and our newest grandson John. We are currently raising our grandson Jesse and dealing with things such as Autism & ADHD. We have lived in northern Arizona for most of the last 35 years and love it here. We've had our ups & downs ~ but life is good... I'll add a little here - my sweetheart and best friend Walt passed away unexpectedly January 8, 2014. He will be missed by many.

Jesse's blog about Scout Day Camp..

I loved Cub Scout Day Camp!! We got to shoot BB guns and bows & arrows. The theme was Knights of the Round Table and we got to make shields and dragon masks. We got to fish but I didn't catch any, nobody in my group caught any fish. We even had a water balloon fight on the last day. I can't wait until next year! ~ Jesse

Sometimes autism is a blessing, sometimes it can drive you crazy..

I love my (grandson) Jesse ~ he is wonderfully unique. Jesse has such a thirst for knowledge. He wants to know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING.. which is great. To a point. But there are days (like today) when he needs to know RIGHT NOW, why.. "why did Heavenly Father make some people look different? why are Indians called Indians if they're not from India? could you swim from Alaska to Russia like it shows on my globe? how deep is the ocean? what do sharks eat? why is the ocean salty? do ladies wear those covers over their faces in some countries because they're ugly? why do people in China have different looking eyes? why don't wild kangaroos live in Arizona? what year were garbage trucks invented? were you alive when cars were invented? did Adam & Eve have dinosaurs? how do you say (insert your own word here) in Chinese? French? Russian?" These are just a few of the things he has to know today!Right now! I'm trying to get him to focus on one thing at a time, but some days his mind just jumps all over the place! Life is never dull around here ~ we are so blessed to have such a smart, inquisitive little guy living with us right now! We love you Jess, never change!

We finally got to go!

Yea! We finally got to go to the cabin! We had an awesome time ~ Jesse got to go FISHING in the BOAT with Papa & Uncle Larry. (I'm sure they didn't have as much fun as he did ~ he's still talking about it!) The weather was wonderful, the squirrels cute, & Walt and I got to just chill for awhile and listen to the wind in the trees and the birds.
